During a meeting on June 19th, 2024, Antigua and Barbuda underscored their commitment to the MOA but requested an additional 30 days to complete the necessary parliamentary approval process. This extension means the threshold of US$200,000 will now be implemented after this additional period.
Additional Period for Applicants
On June 26th, 2024, the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Unit shared a memorandum titled “Programme Changes and Guidance on File Submission.” This memorandum outlined the agreement to extend the implementation deadline by 30 days. Investors now have a final opportunity to obtain Antigua and Barbuda citizenship at the current pricing. Once an application is registered online, the necessary physical documents and primary fees must arrive within 21 days, providing a maximum grace period of 7 weeks.
Updated Cost Details for Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship
To align with the MOA coordinated with Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, and St Lucia, the new costs are as follows:
- National Development Fund (NDF): Minimum donation of $230,000 for a family of up to 4 members. For a family of 5+ members, the minimum threshold is $245,000.
- Property Purchases: Minimum threshold increases from $200,000 to $325,000.
- University of West Indies Family-Friendly Option: Minimum threshold is now $300,000.
- Business Investment: A minimum commitment of $1.5 million remains unchanged.
